Welcome to the Macedonian Film Festival 2012.
The festival aims to promote the vast artistic and cultural landscape that is Macedonian cinema.
The Macedonian Film Festival (MFF) is this year accepting entries for the 2012 Festival.
Call for entries now open! Call for entries period will run between 1st May 2012 and close on 2nd July 2012.
Applications are now open so get your creative story ideas on film and submit them to us for consideration into the 2012 program.
There are a few conditions of course, so please ensure you meet the criteria before submitting your film. Applicants must be either of Macedonian background (regardless of country citizenship) or if applicant is of non-Macedonian background, the film must tell a Macedonian story or explore Macedonian themes. All genres of film will be considered and films from emerging directors are encouraged.
Screening, final programming and categorisation of films will be determined by a jury committee of the MFF.
Eligibility
Films MUST either:
- Be written/directed/produced by a filmmaker of Macedonian background or origin on any subject matter
- Be written/directed/produced by a filmmaker of any origin or background but promote Macedonia and/or its people in a positive way
- Applicants must have full creative and editorial control of film in the role of director/producer, director, director/writer or writer (cinematographers, editors, composers and other crew members are not eligible).
Please note: We will not consider any films that are political, prejudice or racist and all films are judged on merit of story creativity and film making techniques.
